Robotics League Participation Grant

The state of Wisconsin is offering matching grants of up to $5,000 to robotics teams for the 2018-19 school year. Teams comprised of students in grades 6-12 with at least one mentor are encouraged to apply for the grant to support the design and operation of robots to be entered in competition.

According to the Robotics League Participation Grants website, the competition encourages young people to develop an interest in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics.

Eligibility

  • Grants are available to public schools, private schools, 2R and 2X charter schools, and home-based educational programs in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Funding must support participation in robotics competitions that are sponsored by 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations only.
  • Funding awarded must be matched by the recipient organization.
  • Students must be in grades 6-12.
  • Teams must have at least one mentor.

Allowable expenses include fees, kits, supplies required to participate in a single robotics competition, travel expenses, and a stipend for the mentor of an eligible team.
