Social and Emotional Learning Webinar Series

Thursday, September 13, 2018

The Department of Public Instruction is excited to announce a monthly Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) webinar series. From September through May, you will have the opportunity to participate in hour-long learning experiences about SEL implementation topics.

One Wednesday a month you are invited to join your colleagues from 12:00-1:00 to

  • receive short and focused topical content
  • hear about local school experiences when available
  • ask questions

The first of this series is scheduled for Wednesday, September 19th. The presenter is Jo Salazar, Manager of School Supports at the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning. For those of you attending the CESA SEL training, you will be introduced to key tools and content that will help you and your team prepare for a deeper dive of these resources and tools.

If you are wondering how your school can get started with SEL, then this session is for you. Getting Started: CASEL’s Guide to Schoolwide SEL provides the tools and a roadmap to begin this work. During this webinar, you will get a brief introduction to the CASEL Guide to Schoolwide SEL and learn more about how to navigate this rich resource.

Webinars are limited to 200 registrants, so you are encouraged to register one person and view as a group when possible. The registration for each webinar will be posted one month prior to the scheduled date. If you are unable to attend or registration is full, webinars will be recorded and available for viewing on the DPI Social and Emotional Learning website.

The full webinar series schedule will be posted to the DPI SEL Conference and Training Opportunities webpage.
