Tuesday, March 2, 2021

Rivet Education recently released its Wisconsin Professional Learning Partner Guide. The company offers school districts a free, online tool with a comprehensive and objective analysis of curriculum-related professional learning providers. Rivet Education’s Wisconsin Professional Learning Partner Guide (PLPG) provides a list of high-quality professional learning partners that offer services in:

  • Adopting a curriculum

  • Launching a new curriculum

  • Providing ongoing support for teachers with a chosen curriculum

  • Providing support for leaders

Rivet Education evaluates and recommends the high-quality professional learning partners who provide curriculum-aligned services in Wisconsin. Mounting evidence suggests that providing teachers with access to high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials and curriculum-based professional learning can result in improvement in student outcomes.

Using the Professional Learning Partner Guide website, educators and administrators can find and connect with professional learning providers who can meet their curriculum learning needs. The site currently features 29 professional learning partners, with ongoing opportunities for professional learning organizations to apply to be included. The DPI has been supporting local professional development providers like CESAs to submit their materials-based professional development for inclusion in this guide. Rivet Education’s team of expert reviewers evaluate new professional learning providers twice a year. After each review, the Wisconsin-PLPG will be updated accordingly.
