MADISON — State Superintendent Tony Evers issued a statement on Wisconsin earning a “Bright Spot” mention for its WISEdash Public Portal. The Data Quality Campaign’s (DQC’s) “State Report Card Bright Spots” feature said Wisconsin’s data reporting portal made information easy to understand. The feature was part of DQC’s “Show Me the Data” report issued today.

“Effective use of data is one way schools and districts work to meet the needs of their kids. But information is only helpful when educators, families, and community members can make heads or tails of what they are seeing. It is an honor to be recognized by DQC for the work we have done to make data easily understandable and meaningful when publicly presenting student information.

“I want to thank the many department staff members, teachers, and school leaders who have helped us develop and refine our WISEdash data reporting portal.”

NOTES: The Department of Public Instruction’s WISEdash Public Portal can be found online. More information about the Data Quality Campaign “Show Me the Data” report and its “State Report Card Bright Spots” feature can be found online as well.
