DPI's 2025-27 Biennial Budget Request

On November 15, 2024, the department submitted its full 2025-27 biennial budget request. This includes budget requests pertaining to K-12 school aids and education policy, support for public libraries, and agency operations.

DPI's budget request for K-12 schools includes proposals for school district revenue limits, state general aid, school categorical aids, and other supports for learners, educators, and schools. Additionally, the request includes estimates for state payments to independent charter schools, as well as private schools participating in Wisconsin's parental choice programs and/or the Special Needs Scholarship Program.
