School Library Work Group Back in Action

Encompassing the values of shared knowledge, equity, and improving school library programs, the School Library Work Group has been reconvened after taking a pause at the onset of the pandemic. The vision for this group is to be a dedicated team guiding decision making on school library topics, developing strategies for creating a stronger field of school library professionals, and providing tangible evidence for how robust school library programs improve student achievement in Wisconsin schools. It is led by Monica Treptow, the School Library Education Consultant.

The School Library Work Group is a balanced combination of veteran and new members chosen from applications gathered in November 2021. The group represents small and large districts, rural, suburban, and urban communities, both experienced and new professionals, CESAs and higher education, and a wide variety of position descriptions. Their first meeting was held on Monday, February 7, and the collaborative culture and collective knowledge began to build! We look forward to working with this fabulous team:
