Child Nutrition Program Contract Renewal
Schools participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), Afterschool Snack Program (ASSP), Special Milk Program, and Wisconsin School Day Milk Program must renew their contracts online each year. This year, the website for the SY 2017-18 contract renewal process will open May 1, 2017. All contracts for the SY 2017-18 must be updated by May 31, 2017. Please see memo dated April 11 for details.
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Grant Application Period Ends Soon!
The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) application period for the 2017-2018 school year closes on April 17. Schools with high free and reduced price eligibility will be given priority for this grant. Each school interested in participating in the FFVP is required to submit an application. Please see our FFVP webpage for a link to the grant application, application instructions, and the USDA FFVP Handbook.
Update for Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Resource Center
The USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) has announced information regarding eligibility criteria for students requesting Exam Fee Reductions and Waivers for Advance Placement (AP) Exams, Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SAT), and American College Testing (ACT) Exams. This guidance is intended for students in CEP schools. The guidance is available on PartnerWeb and is publicly available on the FNS website.

2017 Whipping Up Wellness, Wisconsin Student Chef Competition
Wisconsin Team Nutrition would like to congratulate the following five teams on being selected to participate in the 2017 Whipping Up Wellness, Wisconsin Student Chef Competition.

Enaemaehkiw Cepahkowak (Thunder Cooks) - Menominee Indian Middle School
Sassy Salsa Serving Senoritas - New Lisbon High School
Poppin’ Plymouth Panthers - Plymouth High School
SCC Culinary Panthers - St. Croix Central High School
These teams will be participating in a cook-off on May 18 from 9AM-12PM. DPI SNT will be providing live social media updates throughout the competition. Follow the competition as it happens through our Facebook (WisDPI.SNP) and Twitter (@WisDPI_SNT) accounts.
