School Nutrition Employee Appreciation Week, May 1-5, 2017
School nutrition employees provide nutritious, well-balanced, reasonably-priced meals to more than 500,000 Wisconsin school children each day. State Superintendent Tony Evers and the Department of Public Instruction SNT recognize school nutrition professionals make a difference in the lives of the students they serve. Download a copy of the National Employee Appreciation Week proclamation, visit the School Nutrition Association’s website for ideas for celebrating, and share what’s happening in your school this week at #WISchoolMealsRock.
USDA Professional Standards
Just a reminder that USDA Professional Standards hours for school nutrition program staff may be completed over a two (2) year period. However, some hours need to be obtained in both years. Therefore, DPI School Nutrition Skills Development Course this summer may be counted in either the current school year or the next depending on your individual two year cycle.
