Updates from the DPI School Nutrition Team

Around the World in 80 Trays...This Week!

Around the World in 80 Trays celebrates the unique cultural backgrounds of Wisconsin students! Use this week to introduce new flavors, create globally inspired dishes, and, most importantly, connect with your students!

Visit the Around the World in 80 Trays webpage for resources like Fast Recipe Ideas, that include ideas for simple dips or sides or a template for Stickers to give students who try your new menu item. It’s not too late to Take the Pledge to help us reach our goal of 80 participating schools and districts!

Yesterday, students at the School District of Fort Atkinson were treated to chicken al pastor tacos, cilantro lime rice, spiced pinto and black beans, pineapple salsa with added radish for an authentic Mexico City version, and Cara Cara orange slices. Yum!

If your school is participating, remember to take photos and email them to dpifns@dpi.wi.gov!
