For school year (SY) 2021-22, a School Food Authority (SFA) with a current contract in the USDA Child Nutrition Program(s) operating the National School Lunch Program’s (NSLP) Seamless Summer Option (SSO) may sponsor eligible sites outside of their SFA or School Nutrition Contract. In efforts to maintain integrity of the programs and ensure the intent of the program is met, there are specific eligibility and program operation requirements that must be met for these arrangements. To provide meals in these situations, the sponsoring SFA (SFA providing the meals) must sign the SSO Sponsor Site Agreement with the receiving site (who will be receiving the meals).These agreements must be reviewed and approved by the DPI School Nutrition Team. Please note, in efforts to “get back to normal”, some sites that received meals in SY 2020-21 may not qualify in SY 2021-22.
