Why Calendar Data?
DPI publishes data this data as a courtesy for the benefit of anyone who would like to know this information about our Wisconsin schools.
Since the 2023-24 school year, DPI collects calendar data (i.e., First Day of School/Last Day of School) from public schools in the WISEdata Portal. Visit the First Day of School/Last Day of School data element page for more detailed information.
For the most current information available, visit the Wisconsin School Directory Public Portal to search by school or district name, street address, city, or ZIP code and find important information about schools and school districts. This directory also includes map data about schools and districts, as well as a searchable directory of contact information for school and district personnel. Anyone can access this public version of the School Directory application without a login.
District Calendar Summary
Since the 2012-2013 school year, the District Calendar Summary contains district-level information. It includes the start date for teachers and students and the last day of school for teachers and students. The report also includes the CESA, County, and District codes that can be used to filter subgroups of the data.
