ESSER II in WISEgrants

Friday, April 16, 2021

The application for the second round of the Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER II) was opened in WISEgrants yesterday, Thursday, April 15. These funds allow for all activities encompassed under ESSER I with an emphasis on assessing and addressing learning loss and safely reopening schools.

The ESSER II page on the DPI website provides information about these relief funds and additional resources, including the application start guide, allowable costs document, and further information on federal stimulus funding and fiscal considerations.

The ESSER II application is located in WISEgrants under the 2021-22 fiscal year. As a reminder, WISEgrants will default to the current fiscal year (2020-21) through June 30, 2021 and users will have to change fiscal years in order to access the ESSER II application.

As a reminder, a portion of the ESSER II allocation will depend upon in-person instructional hours reported by 174 LEAs to DPI this summer. More details are available in our March 26 “ESSER II In-Person Hours Data Collection” story.
