Please welcome two new SFS team members: Chonh Her, school finance auditor, and Jake Smith, grant management accountant. We’re happy to announce that the SFS Team is now fully staffed. Below are their introductory statements.
Jake Smith
Hello, I am excited to be working as a grant accountant with DPI! The past 10.5 years I spent as a Budget/Finance Specialist in the College of Natural Resources at UW-Stevens Point. Away from work, I love spending time with my family (wife and three children ages 4-10) as well as spending time in the outdoors (backpacking/camping, hunting, fishing, kayaking/boating and biking), playing a variety of sports (especially volleyball) and cheering on Wisconsin’s sports teams.
Chonh Her
My name is Chonh (pronounced like Shawn but with a “Ch”; Ch-awn). I have been employed with the state of Wisconsin for 14 years with the Department of Workforce Development in Unemployment Insurance. I spent the first three years as an unemployment insurance tax specialist, then the past 11 years as an accountant. I have been married to my loving wife for 15 years. We have three children: two girls (ages 14 and 7) and one boy (age 11). I enjoy watching my kids participate in their extracurricular activities, as well as fishing and taking care of my lawn.
