The 2015-16 alternative open enrollment application is now available on the open 
enrollment website under the Alternative Application Procedures webpage at 
http://oe.dpi.wi.gov/oe_altapp and click on the first link “PI-9421 Alternative 
Open Enrollment Application Form for 2015-16”.  It is also available on the Forms 
webpage under School Districts.  

Alternative (exception) applications are for a current school year. Parents who 
have missed the regular application deadline for applying for the 2015-16 school 
year may submit alternative applications on or after July 1.  

Remember: Exceptions are only to the application period, not to the district’s 
approval/denial criteria.  If you filled all your spaces with applications submitted 
during the regular application period, you cannot then accept a pupil who applied 
with an alternative application.  If you have pupils on your wait lists in July, you 
must accept those pupils before accepting any pupils who apply through the 
alternative application procedures. Those pupils would need to be added to the 
bottom of the wait lists.
