This is a reminder that the 3rd Friday in Sept list in OPAL will be locked at 11:59pm tonight.

I believe that there may be some confusion about the 3rd Friday list deadline.  Only the 3rd 
Friday list (found on the 3rd Friday in Sept tab in OPAL) is going to be locked so if you want to 
use this list to indicate a pupil’s 3rd Friday status, you must do so before 11:59pm tonight.   

After this time, you can still make changes and enter a pupil’s 3rd Friday status using the Change 
Enrollment tab.  This method is also used throughout the rest of the school year to enroll 
alternative application pupils. 

**The Agree/Disagree entry by the resident district is only a communication tool for the 
districts. It is not used to determine whether or not a pupil is open enrolled and whether aid 
payments are received for the pupil. We look at what the nonresident district enters and what 
is on their Actively Open Enrolled list. That is why we encourage districts to communicate with 
each other if there is a disagreement about a pupil’s entry before clicking the “Disagree” 
button.**
