
Wisconsin SLDS 2015 Grant--Bringing Evidence Based Practice to Practitioners in Wisconsin
This grant is to be completed between October 2015 and September 2020 and is funded by a $5,453,435 grant from the US Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences.
Goals:
- Build from previous work and needs from the field
- Work in collaboration with external partners and stakeholders
- Jumpstart activities that can be maintained sustainably
- Emphasis on data literacy and data use
- Link research findings to instructional support work within this project
- Major outcomes fall under two priority areas:
Instructional Support
- Extend the Statewide Longitudinal Data System to classroom relevant data
- Increase assessment literacy and strategic assessment practices
- Increase data-informed planning and better facilitate research improvement planning
Research and Evaluation
- Use SLDS to identify and evaluate equity-promoting practices
- Increase local evaluation capacity
- Conduct cross-agency research on school context
