Event Description
The Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies 2019 conference will focus on the theme of "Explore"! This years keynotes are Michael Matera, author of Explore Like a Pirate, Eric Larsen, National Geographic Polar Explorer, and Mary Beth Tinker, free-speech activist from the Tinker v. Des Moines Supreme Court decision in 1969, which helped determine the limits of student free speech. As always, there will be many breakout sessions and a great exhibition hall.
