There are significant shifts in pedagogy and student expectations with the revised WI Standards for Social Studies. This session will introduce shifts in pedagogy and student expectations in the new standards, learn about the inquiry arc, an essential part of quality social studies teaching and learning, and provide time to unpack and repack the standards.
*Future WISSS workshops will assume attendees have learned this material*

In CESA 1, this workshop  is part of a series.  The additional workshops are on Dec 4, 2018 (Elementary Social Studies) Feb 5, 2019 (Integration of State Requirements), and Feb 21, 2019 (Civic Engagement, Reflection, and Planning for Year 2).
