The Wisconsin Standards for Literacy in All Subjects, adopted in 2011, require all teachers, K-12, in every content area, to consider discipline-appropriate literacy techniques (also known as disciplinary literacy) with their students. How do the WI Standards for Social Studies tie to DL? Very well. Learn connections between the two documents, resources for incorporating DL into classrooms and curriculum, and have time to review your existing curriculum for gaps.

This is part of a CESA 10 workshop series on the revised social studies standards.  Additional dates include Feb 6, 2019 (elementary), April 2, 2019 (state requirements), and June 11, 2019 (civic engagement and reflection).
