The recent Syrian refugee crisis has thrust the issue of migration into the spotlight. How can we as educators encourage our students to analyze human mass migration through a critical, economic line of reasoning. In this webinar, teachers will explore how to design several projects that examine the economic dilemma of refugee crises around the world, from the perspectives of the refugees and the target nations. Presenter: Ted Opderbeck Ted Opderbeck is an economics and law teacher at Waldwick High School in Waldwick NJ. He has been a high school educator for 24 years and is currently teaching AP Economics, Honors Economics, Principles of Economics, Law, Criminal Procedure, and United States History I.
