In this webinar, teachers will explore lesson ideas and tools to encourage students to think economically and critically about immigration in the U.S. You will be empowered to engage your students in a key current topic through an economic lens. Presenter: Ted Opderbeck Ted is a economics and social studies teacher at Waldwick High School in Waldwick, NJ. He has enjoyed teaching many levels of economics, law, and U.S. History over the last 22 years. Ted has been named District Teacher of the Year twice and recently was recognized as an Alfred P. Sloan Teaching Champion by the Council for Economic Education. Ted is the founder of two non-profit initiatives that provide educational and health services to local underserved youth.

The Council for Economic Education is pleased to offer free professional development webinars for teachers nationwide. The webinars cover multiple topics on how to integrate personal finance and economics in the classroom and create a fun learning experience for your students.
