The newly discovered “Rywka’s Diary” is a powerful historical account of life in the Lodz ghetto recorded in moving detail by a teenage girl during World War II. During this webinar, participants will explore primary sources in Echoes & Reflections that provide historical context for teaching about life in the Lodz ghetto. Dr. Alexis Herr, Scholar and Associate Director of the Holocaust Center of San Francisco, a division of Jewish Family and Children's Services will share the individual story of Rywka Lipszyc using her powerful words and highlight how her diary can be used in the classroom.
