Event Description

Join us for a day of learning about inquiry and culturally relevant pedagogy!

Thanks to generous funding from the Library of Congress, the Inquiry in the Upper Midwest project is offering workshops to K-12 social studies teachers in the 2018-2019 school year. These full-day workshops will focus on historical and geographic inquiry, primary sources, and culturally relevant pedagogy. History and geography educators will share teaching strategies in grade-level groups, and participants will dive into resources to help build a more culturally relevant classroom!

**These workshops will have a similar focus to the 2016-2017 workshops, but new sources and activities will appeal to past attendees and new attendees alike.**

Space is limited. Grades K-5 teachers and 6-12 teachers of social studies are welcome to register. All participants who attend the full training will receive a $100 stipend. Light breakfast and lunch are included.
