New SSPW Team Members

We are excited to have two new team members join the Students Services/Prevention and Wellness Team.

Jake Wilson will serve as a Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers Education Consultant. Jake has great experience working in out-of-school time settings as a director, coordinator, and youth worker. Most recently, Jake served as the Academic Coordinator of the Vera Court Neighborhood Center in Madison, Wisconsin. He has worked for the Madison School and Community Recreation/Urban League program at Jefferson Middle School in the Madison Metropolitan School District, and PASS AmeriCorps, Wisconsin Youth Company.

Libby Strunz will serve as a Mental Health Consultant. Libby has served as a school counselor in the Monroe School District since 2016. She brings with her knowledge and experience serving all students in academic, college/career, and social-emotional development. Libby is a Nurtured Heart Approach Advanced Trainer and a Trauma Sensitive Schools Certified Teacher. She served on the District Equity Committee, providing professional development on equity and inclusion, coordinated school-wide activities to include Junior Achievement and Career Day, Unity Day, and Courage Retreat, and served as the Gay-Straight Alliance Advisor. Before school counseling, Libby was an English teacher in Galesville, WI, where in addition to teaching literature and composition courses to students in grades 9-12, she advised and led school organizations, including Link Crew, National Honor Society, Gay-Straight Alliance, and a trip to Europe!
