In preparation for the 2023 Public Library Annual Report, a What’s New summary is now posted by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The summary includes instructions on how to fill in and submit the annual report, a worksheet, and several training slide decks.
Public Library Staff Compensation Survey Now Available

The purpose of the report is to provide staff salaries and position classification information to help library boards determine appropriate compensation to attract and retain the best possible employees for the positions.

CCBC Releases Annual Diversity Statistics
The Cooperative Children’s Book Center (CCBC) released its 2022 Diversity Statistics on the number of books received by the CCBC by and about Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). According to the CCBC, this year’s statistics show a 7 year continuing positive trend of the number of diverse books for children and teens.

The Wisconsin Document Depository Program makes access to electronic state government information easy and convenient for libraries! Librarians can review lists of recently archived state documents,which are regularly updated, and choose different options for providing access to library users.
