QEI's Provisional License Tracker

State Budget Licensure Changes

Important NoticeEducators who hold a Professional or Master Educator license that was supposed to expire on June 30, 2018, DO NOT NEED TO APPLY to renew their license with credits or a PDP.  The state budget has removed the expiration dates from these licenses, and we are working to have license lookup reflect that.

Please visit the Latest Licensing News blog for information on the state budget's impact on licensure. All available information has been posted to the Latest Licensing News blog. Please Note: the first post relating to the new license rules was written September 22nd.

QEI recently sent an email to educators announcing their new Provisional License Tracker service. DPI is not requiring use of the PLT for verification purposes. However, we have reviewed the tool, and it is one option that DPI will accept for verification.

DPI will be working with Frontline, our Educator Effectiveness software vendor to include a verification of successful experience form embedded in My Learning Plan. This upgrade will be available to districts at no cost.

For districts that are not using My Learning Plan, DPI will accept PLT as well as other no cost options. A paper form created by DPI will be one option for district to certify an educator’s successful experience.

We will provide more information on options as quickly as possible.
