Early Literacy Remediation Plan Toolkit

To support local education agencies (LEAs) in meeting/exceeding the requirements within Wis. Stat. §118.016, the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has prepared the Early Literacy Remediation Plan Toolkit. The toolkit includes:

  • Tool 1, which delineates the statutory requirements for the early literacy remediation plan (ELRP);
  • Tool 2, a discussion and reflection guide to support Local Education Agencies (LEAs) as they develop their local plan;
  • Tool 3, an outline of the early literacy remediation plan template;
  • Tool 4, a resource library to support professional learning in the development of the plan;
  • Appendix A, a glossary of terms related to early literacy; and
  • Appendix B, an editable, fillable form.
