As summer winds down, there is still time to take part in the Second Lady’s 2025 Summer Reading Challenge.
The Institute of Museum and Library Services invites kindergarten through 8th grade students to participate in this literacy initiative. Between June 1 and September 5, participants read 12 books of their choice and track their progress with the fillable reading log.
Once all 12 books are completed, email the finished log to read@mail.whitehouse.gov by September 5, 2025, to receive a personalized certificate, a small prize, and entry into a raffle to visit Washington, D.C.
The Second Lady’s Summer Reading Challenge encourages students to keep learning, growing, and exploring through reading all summer long.
