Growing Wisconsin Readers logoSpring is here (finally!) and it is a good time for cleaning. Wisconsin library staff serving youth should check their local supplies of Growing Wisconsin Readers print materials. An online request form to reorder more materials can be accessed here

Growing Wisconsin Readers was a 2013-2016 statewide initiative rooted in public libraries that supported Wisconsin caregivers of young children with information about early literacy in order to prepare children for learning at school and beyond.

Photo of poster and brochuresThe print materials created for this initiative are attractive and relevant. The materials are available in English, Hmong and Spanish. These materials are a great way to help parents and caregivers find out more about early literacy.

The posters can be customized with local information and displayed at your library or in community hotspots. The brochures can be displayed at your library or offered to new parents. The bookmarks/inserts work well in combination with the brochures or as standalone pieces. The bookmarks/inserts offer critical information about screen time for young children.

All of the materials can be viewed on the Growing Wisconsin Readers website: http://growingwisconsinreaders.org/librarians.html#files

We have a range of quantities available for each item in each language. Materials will be send via the Wisconsin Library Delivery Network to Wisconsin public libraries and regional library systems on a first come, first serve basis. The request form will stay open until the majority of material have been requested.
