Expand the possibilities of community engagement at your library!

The UW-Madison Information School (iSchool) is excited to offer Lead the Way: Libraries at the Heart of Community Engagement as an all-virtual conference on Nov 16-17, 2020. Wherever your library is on its community engagement journey, you will learn how to plan new engagement efforts or view existing initiatives with a fresh perspective at this inaugural conference. Keep the library at the heart of your community by leading, engaging, and adapting with the ideas and skills featured at the conference.

iSchool staff are committed to making Lead the Way an active online experience of learning, sharing, and connecting. The schedule will incorporate social & discussion time in topic-based online spaces. All conference sessions will be moderated to facilitate communication between presenters and attendees. Sessions will provide opportunities to discuss how the pandemic has affected community engagement work.

Registration and conference details are available here: go.wisc.edu/ischool-engage The registration fee cost is a sliding scale based on job status and salary range; click “Registration” for more details.

As the library community adapts to these changing times, attending Lead the Way will reinforce the idea that ‘we’re all in this together.’

Lead the Way is sponsored by the WI Department of Public Instruction. Questions about this conference may be directed to Meredith Lowe, mclowe@wisc.edu or Anna Palmer, ahpalmer@wisc.edu.
