Thursday, January 16, 2020

This guest post is from Jamie Matczak, WI Valley Library System.

8th Annual Wild Wisconsin Winter Web Conference

The conference will take place on January 22-23, 2020. Fourteen sessions will be available in 4 different tracks, including Library Management (new!), Adult Services (new!), Small and Mighty, and Tech Trends.

What started as a one-day conference with six sessions in 2013 has grown to two days with 14 sessions in topic tracks. Planning for this conference has been underway since April 2019 to give you and your library staff an excellent learning experience.

All 16 public library systems in Wisconsin, along with the Department of Public Instruction, make the conference possible by providing monetary support and assistance. Each session is worth 1 contact hour for public library certification in Wisconsin.

All of the sessions will be recorded, captioned and posted on the conference website, in case there are some that you miss. Following are the sessions for this year’s conference:

  • Developing Motivated Cultures: Six Simple Factors That Shape Your Organization
  • Adult Services 101
  • Help Your Patrons Cut the Cable Cord
  •  Incorporating EDI Values into Readers’ Advisory Service
