The Library Services Team at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction selected seven Wisconsin public libraries to participate in the Building Equity Based Summers (BEBS) 2025 Cohort.
The libraries chosen are Aram Public Library (Delavan), Delafield Public Library, Hammond Community Library, La Crosse County Library, Neenah Public Library, Waupaca Public Library, and Wauwatosa Public Library.
Starting in January, the BEBS 2025 Cohort participants will work together to take a deeper look at their respective library’s summer programs and services through an equity-based lens by considering their current programming and what impact those programs have on community members needing them most.
Cohort participants will explore the “why” of summer services and equitable summer services, ways of letting go of tradition, how to connect with their community voices, and how to measure the impact of their success.
Congratulations to those libraries selected for the BEBS 2025 Cohort.
The BEBS initiative is funded and made possible in part through an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant.
