WiMLSS Project

What is the WiMLSS Project?

The WiMLSS Project is an IDEA funded program to improve outcomes for students with IEPs. The WiMLSS Project helps Wisconsin schools and districts focus on systems centered on each and every student based on their responsiveness to effective instruction across a continuum of supports, grounded in Wisconsin’s Framework for Multi-Level Systems of Supports.

The WiMLSS Project offers Framework Trainings as the cornerstone of its support, along with training in Behavior Systems, Academic Systems, and Addressing Disproportionality Through Systems Change—delivered alongside coaching and technical assistance.

WiMLSS Project Vision

WiMLSS Projects vision is to systemically provide equitable services, practices, and resources to each and every student based upon their responsiveness to effective instruction and intervention.

WiMLSS Project Coaches

Any Wisconsin school or district team can contact their CESA to work with the WiMLSS Project. Priority will be given to districts with Joint Federal Notifications.

WiMLSS Project staff (called WiMLSS Coaches) will collaborate with DPI, other CESA staff and structures (including but not limited to the Technical Assistance Network), and other IDEA-funded projects (such as the Regional Support Network) to ensure school improvement efforts are continuous and cohesive.

Services from the WiMLSS Project are CESA-based. Contact your local CESA for more information.
