
WISE Community: A Teams Space for Communication, Collaboration and Sharing
WISE Community is a Microsoft Teams-based communication group created for our local education agency partners – schools, districts, state agencies, CESAs – as a space to post questions, share solutions and ideas, learn about updates and outages, and generally stay closely connected to DPI’s Partner Support Team.
The Partner Support Team provides technical support for WISE applications, like WISEdata, WISEdash, WISEid and WISEstaff, WISEadmin Portal and WISEgrants. We also support School Directory and PI-1207 applications.
DPI will post announcements, alerts, news, and training opportunities to the main General channel. While you may choose to mute or modify notifications for any of the channels, we recommend at least leaving/turning on notifications for the General channel to ensure you receive important, and often timely, DPI notifications.
We encourage you to post questions and answers to any of the channels available on the left-side menu to receive peer-to-peer assistance and input. Feel free to post relevant tips, announcements, and best practices in the channel that best matches the content, e.g., Roster questions to WISEdata or WISEdash, salary questions to WISEstaff, etc...

- Who can join? Anyone!
- What can I expect? The Partner Support Team and other DPI staff will post information here: about DPI systems that affect our school users, notifications about upcoming events, timely reminders, and reporting information. Members can also chat with each other-– find out who uses your same SIS vendor tool and ask each other questions, get help on how to resolve errors and warnings, and make new connections!
- How do I join? To join, complete the following steps:
- Open a Partner Support Team Help Ticket.
- Select “Other” from the applications drop-down menu.
- Include both your First name and Last Name as you would like to see them appear in the Teams channel.
- Include your email address.
- A Partner Support team member will add you to the WISE Community Teams channel.
- Watch the inbox for the email you provided to us and look for an email from Microsoft. Follow the instructions in the email for how to access the Teams channel.
- Timeline for gaining full access:
- Immediate access to: posts and the chat.
- Full access to WISE Community SharePoint files is granted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday around 3:30 p.m. If you joined the WISE Community but cannot access files yet, please be patient as our IT staff uploads members' access in batches. Accounts will normally sync within 15-30 minutes of these batch uploads.

Community Resources: Weekly User Groups
Visit the WISE Events Calendar page and search for WISE User Group or WISEstaff Weekly User Group.
Click the event you want, and then click "Add to Calendar." Get questions answered by live DPI staff! Both user groups occur regularly on Tuesdays.
