This data element records what type of Internet access is available to a student in their primary residence, such as wired Internet, cellular Internet, satellite Internet, or dial-up.

Submitted Response Description
Residential Broadband The student's residence has a wired broadband Internet connection, such as cable, fiber, or DSL.
Dial-up The student's residence has a dial-up Internet connection.
Cellular Internet The student can primarily access the Internet through a cellular network.
Satellite Internet The student's residence has a satellite Internet connection.
School-provided hot spot The student can access the Internet through an Internet hot spot provided by their school.
Dial-up The student's residence has a dial-up Internet connection.

USES: This data element is part of the digital equity collection which is intended to identify statewide needs to address the divide in digital access for students.
