Registration for the 11th annual WISEdata Conference is now open!

This year we are offering tracks for:
  • beginner level data reporting
  • advanced level data reporting
  • Career and Technical Education data reporting
  • WISEstaff
  • data analysis
  • data security and privacy: three new sessions have been added to this track.

Fun Ways to Learn and Win!

Our 11th Annual WISEdata Conference theme is Building a WISE Community to Connect, Modernize, and Collaborate. Along with a fully packed, six-track program of breakout sessions, we also have two fun prize raffles for you again this year.

Seek and Find Gameboard & Raffle Prize Slip

This year’s game is a seek and find! The game displays a map of the rooms at the Chula Vista, and a list of tasks related to connecting, collaborating, and modernizing. Each time you complete a task, cross it off the list and put a checkmark in the room where the task occurred. You can turn in your sheet once you’ve completed 15 of the 20 listed tasks for a chance to win!

Donation: ‘The Community Closet’!

The Community Closet drive is a donation collecting anything and everything a K-12 school could use to support students of all ages and sizes in need: coats, boots, socks, and shoes; undies and hygiene items; snacks, backpacks, as well as school and art supplies. Please bring to the conference new or very lightly used donation items.

Want a Chance to Win Back a Portion of the Donated Items?

Once all items are collected, we will split the donations and award these items to three lucky school districts. Simply check the box on your ‘Seek and Find’ game board to enter that states your interest in winning a portion of the donations for your school or district.

Raffle Winner Drawings: Held at Lunchtime on Day 2 in Riverview

We will announce the winners for all prizes during Lunch (Noon – 1:00 p.m.) on Thursday, March 19th.

Data Quality Tips: Act 20 Rostering and Educator Final Audit Release Date

Data Quality Tip icon

WISE-Only Rostering Districts: Homeroom Indicator for Classes Beginning March 16

Districts who are rostering for Act 20 using only WISE (not multi-source) should begin using the Homeroom Indicator in the district’s Student Information System (SIS) to indicate which classes should be imported into aimswebPlus for Act 20 screening. Beginning March 16, Pearson will import only the classes that have the Homeroom Indicator marked, which will help reduce the number of unnecessary classes imported into the aimswebPlus platform from WISE. For assistance on how to mark the Homeroom Indicator in your SIS, please contact your SIS vendor.

School Directory is OPEN for the 2026-27 School Year

School Directory has completed its school year flip and is open as of January 29, 2026. School Directory runs on a January 1 – December 31 calendar, which is different than most of the other applications in the DPI suite, which run on a school year (July 1 – June 30) calendar.

With the reopening of the School Directory Management Portal, schools can start entering required annual updates for the 2026-27 school year. Tiles on the Home screen in the School Directory Management Portal will display notification messages for data that can start being updated now (before the 26-27 school year begins). The two tiles most likely to display these messages are Kindergarten Schedule and Staff Contacts.

You can begin to enter these updates now. However, it may benefit you to wait until these changes are confirmed within your local education agency to avoid multiple updates. School Directory Management Portal User Guides are available to help you.

Web Feature: WISE and Partner Support Webpage Reorganization is Complete

Web Feature icon

The DPI Partner Support and WISE webpage reorganization is complete! All of our webpages are nestled into their new digital slots, complete with fresh, clean URLs. Aligned with DPI’s Strategic Plan, our refreshed left-side menu makes navigating easier and requires less clicks to find what you need. We’ve found the right place for every page and put every page in its right place. When you click on an application, a smaller menu will appear above the WISE menu, displaying all of the support pages for that application. This new design was created with you in mind: the busy, hard-working people operating our Wisconsin schools. This new organization is also built to support future growth, making it much easier to add new content whenever we need it. Please consider attending our weekly WISE User Group on Tuesdays from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. where we will keep you informed and answer any questions you have. We will also demonstrate our new digital domains at the WISEdata Conference.
