4/28/26 Release Notes
- WISEdata Portal Updates
-
- “Help” link to DPI website opens in new tab
We updated the “help” button’s link in the top WISEdata Portal menu so that it opens the WISEdata landing page in a new tab. - Overlapping Enrollments: “Overlap with District/Agency” filter
On the Overlapping Enrollments screen (under the Resources menu), we added an “Overlap with District/Agency” filter with a dropdown that displays all districts that overlap with the user’s district. - Update to Validation Error 7461
We updated the logic on Validation Error 7461 so that instead of throwing the error when Attempt Status = Sufficient (among other criteria), it throws when Attempt Status <> (does not equal) Insufficient (among other criteria). - Bug fix: Message Type filter
We fixed a bug in the “Message Type” filter on the Validation Messages screen. Previously, when this filter was set to “All Message Types,” the search returned no results. We have resolved this.
- “Help” link to DPI website opens in new tab
- Ed-Fi Updates
-
No significant updates
- WISEid
-
- We restored the ability to click the Next button to create a new WISEid on the Review Matches page after uploading a new person who has Multiple Birth indicator set to Yes. This allows users to proceed with creating a new WISEid for students or staff where there are no existing matching WISEid results.
- We restored the ability to submit a change request to add or update an Entity ID on a staff WISEid record. We relabeled the Create Change Request button as “Continue to Verify and Approve Change.” Users now click the button to create the change request and are redirected to the Change Requests page where they can verify and approve the change immediately.
- We updated the workflow when changing WISEid data that does not require a change request and can be applied immediately, such as a last name change. Previously, users were redirected to the Change Requests page, but since a change request is not generated for a last name change, the user now remains on the WISEid Edit Person page after submitting their change.
- We restored the nightly process that checks for data issues and generates alerts. The process was failing, so new alerts were not generating on the Message Center / Alerts page.
- WISEstaff
-
- We fixed the sort order in the Position filter on the Admin Salary and Fringe Report. Positions were not previously sorted in order by code; we resolved this.
- We increased the font size in the filter lists on all Public Staff Report pages.
- We added the ability to view staff license data by working agency in the Licensing Download. This will be especially helpful for CESA users who want to view licensing data for staff they hire and assign to other working agencies.
- We updated the link to the license-assignment mapping documentation. This link is available on the Upload Staff Data page when selecting Assignment as the file upload type, and it provides information on which license is needed for a staff assignment. The previous link opened a Google sheet with license mapping information; the new link goes to the What Can I Teach with My License? page on the DPI website.
- WISEdash for Districts

We added card tools to the tables in the Early Literacy Screening Student Profile so that users can download data.
