On July 29, 2013, the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) received a complaint under state and federal special education law from XXXXX against the East Troy School District. This is the department’s decision regarding that complaint. The issue is whether the district, during the 2012-13 school year, conducted a special education evaluation and developed an individualized education program (IEP) within the required timelines.

IDEA Complaint Decision 13-015

On March 22, 2013, the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) received a complaint under state and federal special education law from XXXXX against the East Troy School District. This is the department’s decision regarding that complaint. The issues are whether the district, during the 2012-13 school year, properly conducted a special education evaluation and properly responded to a parent’s request to include additional participants in the individualized education program (IEP) team meeting.

On March 1, 2007, the Department of Public Instruction received a complaint under state and federal special education law from XXXXX against East Troy Community Schools. This is the department’s decision regarding that complaint. The issue is whether the district, during 2006-2007 school year, properly transmitted copies of a student’s records to appropriate authorities to whom the district reported a crime.
