The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is discontinuing its affiliation with the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee (UW-Milwaukee) for an Educator Effectiveness (EE) evaluation. If UW-Milwaukee offers their own EE survey to school districts and independent charter schools, please know that this survey is not affiliated in any way with the DPI, or the requirements of the EE grant. Schools and staff are under no obligation to complete the UW-Milwaukee EE survey.
The DPI will instead offer its own evaluation, which will be redesigned to be shorter and focused on the six requirements of the EE system. The DPI will be using survey results to determine how to best support school districts and independent charter schools in their implementation of the EE system. Information on that will be communicated in the coming weeks.
