Calendars and Communications
A wide diversity of data entry and reporting is required of all school districts and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in order for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) School Financial Services (SFS) team to calculate and distribute nearly six billion dollars of state aids each year. Such reporting is done on a cyclical basis (generally the same time each year) and so the SFS team relies on a variety of applicable calendars to mark reporting deadlines. Additionally, the SFS team utilizes a variety of mechanisms to communicate those deadlines and help ensure that school districts and LEAs meet their reporting obligations.
