Now Open: DWD’s Youth Apprenticeship Local Grant

Please see the announcement, below, from the Department of Workforce Development, regarding the 2021-22 Youth Apprenticeship Program opportunity.


The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is currently accepting applications for the 2021-22 Youth Apprenticeship (YA) Local Grants Program to sustain and expand statewide efforts. Funding under this RFP is available to local consortiums, which mutually implement and coordinate a YA program via a local consortium steering committee. Eligibility and application materials can be found at https://dwd.wisconsin.gov/apprenticeship/#2.

To help explain the RFP a 2021-22 Request for Proposal (RFP) Bidders Webinar will be posted Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at https://dwd.wisconsin.gov/youthapprenticeship/grants.htm.

A Letter of Intent to Apply must be submitted to YA@dwd.wisconsin.gov by January 29, 2021. The Letter of Intent should state the intent of the proposer to participate in the process and their acceptance of the RFP evaluation criteria, process, and the instructions of the RFP. The letter should also include the consortium name and the name, complete address, phone number, and fax number of a designated individual to whom any correspondence/addendums should be sent.

The deadline to submit completed applications is Monday, March 15, 2021.
