2018-19 Public Accountability Report Cards

Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Dear Colleagues,

Today, public versions of the 2018-19 Accountability Report Cards for schools and districts have been posted to the DPI website: https://dpi.wi.gov/accountability/report-cards. These public versions contain redacted data and therefore may be shared with the public, at community meetings, with school boards, and parents.

Secure School and District Report Cards (with no redaction and thus not to be shared in any public setting, at any time) were updated with today’s date and remain available to authorized users in SAFE. The secure versions are for educator use only, as they may contain personally identifiable student information. As a data-rich tool, the secure report cards are intended to guide school improvement planning and data based discussions within your school and district. They are not to be shared with the public. DPI staff are happy to help with any effort to fold accountability data into continuous improvement planning.

For those schools and districts that participated in an inquiry with the Office of Educational Accountability, the 2018-19 inquiry process is now complete. The report cards released today publically and in SAFE replace the preliminary versions and represent final state accountability reporting for the 2018-19 school year.

For your information, the final DPI report card press release is here and available today from this News Releases page.

I want to thank you for the careful attention paid to the preliminary secure release and the thoughtful questions and helpful comments we have received. If you have further feedback or questions about the School or District Report Cards, please contact the Office of Educational Accountability at 608-267-1072.
