Dear District Administrators,
The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) today submitted for publication the attached emergency rule expanding the ability to use online instruction for summer school. The department wants to ensure you have the flexibilities you may need to address the uncertainties posed by COVID-19. This emergency rule will go into effect on May 5, 2020. The rule does not change the types of classes that can be offered through summer school, but rather allows you to offer all those classes in an online format.
