Administrative Rules Hearing – PI 5 (High School Equivalency Diplomas And Certificates Of General Educational Development)

Event Description

Pursuant to s. 227.24 (4), Stats., this hearing is to accept public testimony on an emergency rule related to age waivers for general educational development tests.

The proposed rule seeks to clarify the means in which the minimum age requirement may be waived for persons seeking a certificate of educational development by passing the general educational development (GED) test.

The department will hold the public hearing by teleconference only. Written comments received no later than the date of the hearing will be given the same consideration as testimony presented at the hearing.

A copy of the scope statement is available on the department's Administrative Rules webpage or the Wisconsin Legislature Rules site. Testimony may be submitted in lieu of testimony by January 27 online or sent to the department's administrative rules coordinator by e-mail.
