Citizens, parents, students, educators, and other school personnel are invited to submit comments or attend a public hearing on newly drafted Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics.
The State Superintendent’s Academic Standards Writing Committee was formed, consisting of a panel of Wisconsin experts representing classroom educators, school leaders, and higher education, with input from business owners and groups.
The writing committee has developed a new draft of the standards. The first draft was released on January 26, 2021 for a public review and provided to the education committees of the legislature. This public hearing is part of the public review process.
Comments will be collected over a 30-day period, from 1/26/21 to 2/25/21: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mathdraft
One public hearing, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on 2/9/21, will be held during the comment period to gather public feedback.
