The Professional Standards Council for Teachers advises the state superintendent on standards regarding licensure and evaluation of teachers, evaluation and approval of teacher education programs, the status of teaching and Wisconsin, and school board practice to develop effective teaching and peer mentoring programs to ensure the quality of the profession of teaching in Wisconsin.
