WI DPI Arts Standards & Resources (morning focus): Since 2017, two arts areas have been adopted by the State Superintendent – Music and Theatre. Participants of these areas will be guided through the newly adopted Wisconsin DPI standards by WI DPI Fine Arts and Creativity Education Consultant, Julie Palkowski. Educators in the areas of dance and art & design will also be informed about the standards review processes for their content areas. All participants will have an opportunity to navigate standards, see accompanying resources online, and share ideas for implementation into the classroom. Bring your laptop or tablet with you for the session.
Arts Assessment and Application (afternoon focus): This will be an overview of arts assessment strategies, methods of data collection, and additional application in the arts. Bring your laptop or tablet with you for the session.
