DPI Library Services Team Welcomes New Public Library Administration Consultant

The Library Services Team is pleased to welcome its newest member, Teresa Schmidt. Schmidt joins the team as the Public Library Administration Consultant after most recently serving as the director of the Mercer Public Library in Mercer, Wisconsin.

She has been an active member of Wisconsin’s library community, taking part in leadership roles in the Northern Waters Library Network, statewide collaborative workgroups such as PLSR (Public Library System Redesign), and the Wisconsin Association of Public Libraries. She works from her home in northern Wisconsin.

“While I bring a small library perspective to my role at the DPI,” said Schmidt, “I’m looking forward to learning more about the libraries and systems in Wisconsin and contributing to the success of libraries and their communities around the state.”

When she is not working, Schmidt enjoys camping and spending time outdoors with her family, listening to and making music, reading, volunteering with local nonprofit organizations, and crafting.
