January 26 is Library Shelfie Day

Monday, January 24, 2022

Stack of booksFor those with a love of books, pull out your phones, tablets, or web cams and take a picture of your favorite bookshelf. Celebrated on the fourth Wednesday in January, Library Shelfie Day is a day for showing off fantastic library shelves and book displays. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction wants to show off the creative ways your library collections are displayed.

On January 26, take a photo of your special spot, whether the bookshelf is at home, the office, a public library, in a school, or anywhere then share on social media using #LibraryShelfieDay and tag the DPI on Facebook @WisDPI or Twitter @WisconsinDPI. Spread the word and the DPI will share as many “shelfies” as possible.
