Want to bring the Arctic and Antarctic to life in your library? Want to give your patrons an opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a penguin or experience what it’s like to work at a polar research site?
Field Day Lab at the University of Wisconsin Madison is looking for librarians in rural communities throughout Wisconsin to help envision and implement a series of new Virtual Reality experiences designed for use in informal learning spaces like libraries. These experiences will focus on sharing cutting edge research currently being done by scientists in the Arctic and Antarctic polar regions. Additionally, they are interested in exploring how these experiences might be designed and promoted to specifically attract and engage Latinx audiences.
